MEG posts win

BANGALORE: MEG & Centre downed a listless HASC, former champions in a hopelessly one-sided match at 59-32 in the A Division basketball league encounter for N.C. Parappa memorial trophy at the Sree Kanteerava indoor court here on Tuesday. The Sappers led 32-17 at half time.

Sharpshooter Manikandan (11) and Lionel Anthony (10) did bulk of the scoring for the winner, for which this was a second straight victory.

MEG 59 (Manikandan 11, Lionel Anthony 10) bt HASC 32 (Sachindra 10); Sports Hostel 53 (Varun 22, Jairaj 12) bt Beagles BC 42 (Bharath 12, Irfan 10).
