THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: C.P. Rajendran, scientist at the Centre for Earth Science Studies here, has been awarded the prestigious Ramanujan Fellowship, instituted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The fellowship, initially for five years, is awarded to researchers who made outstanding contributions to science and engineering. Dr. Rajendran has made pioneering studies in the field of spatial and temporal patterns of earthquakes in the Himalaya, northwest India and Andaman-Nicobar Islands.
