ASC, MEG post wins

Bangalore: ASC and MEG posted victories over BEML (Mysore) and Young Orions respectively in the State ‘A’ Division basketball league at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

While ASC won 39-19 over the promoted Mysore side, MEG proved too good for Young Orions, winning 43-27, despite playing at half the pace, with the lanky Sirajuddin doing the bulk of the scoring.

ASC 39 (Robin 10, Kannan 8) bt BEML (Mysore) 19 (Jayanth 8), HT: 18-12.

MEG 43 (Sirajuddin 12) bt Young Orions 27 (Abhishek 15), HT: 17-9.

BEML (Mysore) 73 (Ramakanth 22, Ravichandra 20) bt Sports Hostel 67 (M.R. Varun 21, A.R. Varun 19), HT: 30-26.
