Sumanth, Rahul, Vinay hit centuries

HYDERABAD: Centuries by K. Sumanth (146) and Rahul Ranout (109) helped Wesley Jr College ‘A’ record a thumping, 351-run win over St. Mary’s College in the HCA Inter-colleges (under-19) cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

In another match, Vinay Rao (153 not out) guided Little Flower Junior College ‘B’ to a convincing, 262-run win over Oakridge.

The scores: Under-19 tournament: St. Joseph’s Public School 54 (E. Praveen four for nine, Abhishek Pandey four for two) lost to Loyola Jr. College 55 for two.

Wesley Jr. College ‘A’ 379 for five (Ravi Teja 46, K. Sumanth 146, Rahul Ranout 109) bt St. Mary’s College 28 (K. Gokul Singh five for 10).

Little Flower Jr. College ‘B’ 375 for four (Ram Kumar 50, Vinay Rao 153 not out, Shanti Bushan 41, Ashrith 52 not out) bt Oakridge 113 (Anurag 42, Rohan Yadav seven for 14).

ICFAI Jr. College 292 for six (Md. Sameer 109, Chandan 40, Jashwanth 43 not out) bt New Era Edn Institute 85 (Mani Prasad four for 13).

HPS ( Begumpet ) 335 for seven (S. R. Kaleem 114, Ayazuddin 40, Sagar 31 not out) bt Narayana Jr College 44.

Sri Chaitanya College, Kukatpally ‘B’, 83 lost to Bhavan’s College ‘B’ 84 for five.

St. Marys Jr College, Yousufguda, 193 (Shivram 95, Sravan four for 35) lost to Sri Chaitanya Jr College, Kukatpally ‘C’ 196 for six (Pavan 42).

Wesley College ‘B’ 157 bt Little Flower College ‘A’ 119 (Shivshanth four for 14).

A-Division (two-day) league: Raju CC 134 (S. M. A. Nayeem five for 24 ) lost to CCOB 135 for five (Sk. Md. Murtuza 53 not out).
