‘IPA Sanman 2008’ on September 1

Hyderabad: The Institute of Practical Accountancy is all set to give away awards for excellence in the fields of accountancy and finance during ‘IPA Sanman 2008’ that will be held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on September 1.

Organised to mark the 15th anniversary of the institute, the event will see many professionals and academicians receiving awards for their contribution to the field of accountancy.

Speaking at a press conference, D.B. Prakash, Director said 14 people have been selected by a committee and awards in various categories such as IPA Best Commerce Faculty Awards, IPA Proficiency Awards and IPA Award for Excellence in Accountancy and Finance will be given.

Prizes for students

Moreover, prizes will be distributed to students who had participated in the inter-college competitions such as essay writing, elocution and business quiz that were conducted by the institute, said Mr. Prakash.

The event will have Shantha Biotech managing director K.I. Varaprasad Reddy as chief guest and A.P. State Council of Higher Education vice-chairman P. Jayaprakash Rao as guest of honour.
