SRINAGAR: On the fourth day of curfew in Kashmir on Wednesday, three people were killed when the Army opened fire on a group of people in Handwara and Soibugh areas of north and central Kashmir. Several people were injured in the incident. Reports from Handwara said that Army opened fire after a scuffle with some youths. Three people were injured and one of them later died in a hospital. In Soibugh area of Budgam district, the Army opened fire on protesters and injured ten people. Two of them later died in a hospital. Reports said that some shopkeepers opened their shops despite curfew and the Army objected to this. Soon there was a confrontation, leading to the firing. Samiti cancels rally PTI reports from Jammu: The Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti on Wednesday cancelled its rally.
