Railway users’ meeting

The platform shelter at Madurai railway station, damaged by gusty wind, would be replaced in four weeks, said Anil Singhal, Divisional Railway Manager, on Thursday. Addressing the 135th meeting of Madurai Divisional Rail Users’ Consultative Committee meeting here, he said that the Ministry of Railways had sanctioned unreserved ticketing system-cum-passenger reservation system for 35 stations in the division, according to a Southern Railway press release.
