Cylinder leak sparks anxiety

A leaky LPG cylinder, which was part of the supplies that arrived at an Indane godown in Vadapalani, gave a few anxious moments to the residents nearby on Thursday.

According to Fire and Rescue Services personnel, the cylinders that came in a lorry were being unloaded outside Guruvayurappan Gas Agency’s godown on Azhagiri Nagar East Street. A jet of water was sprayed on the cylinders and firemen detected the leak and separated the cylinder from the others.
