CHENNAI: The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) wing of the State’s School Education Department, in association with ELCOT, will soon distribute television sets to 36,150 schools. The television sets, purchased at a cost of Rs.26.12 crore, will help schools to use compact discs with exercises in English and Science, a press release stated. All government and aided schools would receive a set of 80 such books. All the 412 Block Resource Centres in the State would receive science digests produced by Thanjavur Tamil University.
