HYDERABAD: Income Tax fought back gallantly to down a fighting Sports Authority of India (STC, Vizag) 27-29, 25-27, 25-20, 25-15, 15-9 to enter the quarterfinals of the A-Division volleyball league championship for the Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College Trophy at Amberpet Indoor Stadium here on Thursday. In another match, State Bank of India, powered by a fine display by veterans V. Srikanth Reddy and Vijay Chand, scored a hard-fought 25-10, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19 win over APSRTC. Holy Family moves upHost and last year’s runner-up, Holy Family High School entered the quarterfinals of the second inter-school basketball tournament for girls with a 23-4 win over Don Bosco HS.
