“Studies shouldn’t be at the cost of sleep”

VELLORE: President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Vaniyambadi, Ikramullah urged students to get eight hours of sleep every day and not to sacrifice sleep during examination.

He was speaking at a programme on health education organised by the IMA, Vaniyambadi, at Islamiah Boys Higher Secondary School in Vaniyambadi on Thursday.

Dr. Ikramullah spoke on food habits to be followed by the students during examination. He also elaborated the ways and means of improving memory and demonstrated the process of learning and memory retention through slides.

Anwarullah Hajee, secretary and correspondent of the school, who welcomed the gathering, called upon the students to work hard and take up professional courses.

He told them to prepare a timetable and study different subjects during the allotted hours, and study throughout the year to achieve their target.

D. Mohammed Iqbal, headmaster, proposed a vote of thanks.
