Microchip Tech opens development centre

BANGALORE: Microchip Technology opened its India Development Centre here on Friday. It will develop embedded micro-controllers, meeting the U.S.-headquartered company’s target to ship one million units this year. Microchip’s Executive Vice-President, Ganesh Moorthy, said “We are investing $65 million in India operations, including the Bangalore facility that can seat 300 personnel. — Special Correspondent
