Two held for supplying firearms

NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested by Crime Branch of the Delhi police for allegedly supplying firearms and vehicles to criminals in and around the Capital.

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Inspector Virender Dalal laid a trap on Ring Road near Defence Colony on Monday and arrested Raj Singh who had come to supply arms and ammunition to a notorious criminal. One of his accomplices, Shakeel, was later arrested at his instance. Six stolen luxury cars, four stolen motorcycles, three pistols and 26 live cartridges have allegedly been seized.
