Drive launched to collect water tax

VIZIANAGARAM: The Vizianagaram Municipality has decided to disconnect domestic tap connections if the water tax bill accumulated over one year was not paid at the earliest.

The civic administration has constituted special teams and launched a drive to identify the defaulters. There are 16,432 domestic and 120 commercial tap connections in the town and the outstanding dues to be collected is about Rs.75lakhs, according to the sources.
