Naren makes an impressive climb

KOCHI: A lot of drivers went off the road on a dramatic Saturday in the Rally of New Zealand but Team Sidvin India’s V.R. Naren Kumar had a steady drive and finished an impressive ninth on the second day at Hamilton.

Naren, driving a Subaru Impreza, was 14th in the World Rally Championship’s Production Cars section (PWRC) after the first day.

Naren was 8:56.4 seconds behind PWRC leader Martin Prokop.

The event concludes on Sunday.
