Sravanthi won the cadet boys and girls singles titles respectively in the second YMIS State-ranking carrom tournament, sponsored by Joshi Masala, at Sultan Bazaar here on Saturday. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLA and chief patron of Hyderabad Carrom Association, gave away the prizes. The results (all finals): Men: R.D. Dinesh Babu (AGAP) bt M.A. Hakeem 25-24, 12-25, 25-7. Cadet boys: K. Akash bt D. Kalyan 25-10, 25-8. Sub-junior boys: U. Naresh bt S. S. Sai 25-10, 25-11. Women: S. Appoorwa bt R. S. C. Nagajyothi 25-18, 25-5. Cadet girls: P. N. M. Sravanthi bt V. Indira Priyadarshini 25-4, 25-12. Sub-junior girls: B. Nishita Goud bt K. Tejashri 25-18, 25-9. Veterans singles: Basharatullah bt A. Srinivas Rao 25-13, 25-23. St. Pious wins trophySt. Pious Girls High School won the inter-school basketball tournament, organised by Holy Family School, beating Holy Family (Trimulgherry) 29-15 in the final here.
