Three held for ‘vandalising’ statue

VIZIANAGARAM: J. Veera Swamy of J.K. Pur in Rayagada district of Orissa, P. Pothaiah and Sivakrishna of Rajahmundry were arrested on Saturday and seven bronze ingots weighing 40kgs have been seized from them. K. Koteswara Rao, SDPO told the media here that they confessed to have disfigured the statue of Maharajah Vijayarama Gajapathi Raju at the cremation ground near Pedda Cheruvu last year. Correspondent
