Admission to begin from tomorrow

Options list can be revised from Friday


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has published the revised allotment for engineering and medical courses on the web site www.cee.kerala.gov.in/ capresult2008.

Candidates have to remit the fee mentioned in their home pages on Monday or Tuesday. They should secure admission to the respective colleges between Tuesday and Thursday. Those who have joined the MBBS course in government medical colleges and have received allotment now have to report at the newly allotted college for admission. Candidates allotted to various engineering courses will have to secure admission following the schedule given on the web site.

Candidates can now cancel all their higher order options or revise their options list between September 5 and 5 p.m. on September 8.

The Commissioner will not make further allotments to engineering and nursing colleges in the private self-financing stream. Allotments will be continued to all government colleges, government-aided colleges and government-controlled self-financing colleges and to all private self-financing colleges, except engineering and nursing colleges.

Candidates who have been allotted (and have paid the fee) nursing, B.Pharm., MLT and BPT courses in institutions under the School of Medical Education of Mahatma Gandhi University have to report at the school at the Main Centre, Gandhi Nagar, near Medical College Hospital, Kottayam, between Tuesday and Thursday.

Candidates who wish to cancel their allotments have to download the format available on the web site www.cee-kerala.org.

The downloaded form should be filled in and be recommended by the Principal concerned and sent to the Commissioner before 5 p.m. on September 10. Requests for cancellation received via fax will not be entertained.

The Principals of all institutions should send the list of ‘non-joining candidates’ by fax to the Commissioner before 5 p.m. on September 5, a press note issued here said.

Willingness sought

The Commissioner has called for expressions of willingness from candidates wishing to be considered for admission to the 42 vacant seats for the BDS programme in the Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences, Thiruvalla.

For this, candidates should access the web site www.cee.kerala.gov.in/willingness on September 1, 2 or before 5 p.m on September 3. Applicants must have the minimum marks mandated by the Indian Medical Council in the entrance examinations and should figure in the rank list published by the Commissioner.

Candidates who are willing to pay the fee fixed for the BDS course by the Fee Regulatory Committee should log on to the web site and express their willingness. As per the relevant order of the fee regulatory committee, the fee for this course at this institution is Rs. 87,000.

The list of candidates who express their willingness will be published on September 4 on the web site www.cee-kerala.org, a press note issued here said.
