Jamal Mohd. College wins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jamal Mohd. College (Tiruchi) won the sixth Major Dhyan Chand Memorial South India inter-collegiate hockey tournament at the LNCPE ground here on Monday.

Jamal Mohd. College crushed host LNCPE (Kariyavattom) 3-0 in the final. Irudhayaraj, Mohd. Hussein and Ethraj scored.

SN College (Kollam) won the women’s title. It finished the three-team league with six points.

UC College (Aluva) finished second after it defeated host LNCPE 4-0 in the last league match. Former India captain Dilip Tirkey gave away the prizes. — Principal Correspondent
