Good knock by Aparajith

CHENNAI: B. Aparajith’s 78 (160b, 7x4) enabled City-I make 277 for eight at close against Districts-II on the first day of the two-day TNCA under-16 round-robin tournament final at Jaya Engineering College here on Monday.

Aparajith and R. Ananth (61) added 149 for the fourth wicket in 50.2 overs.

City-I 277 for eight in 90 overs (R. Ananth 61, B. Aparajith 78 retd. hurt, B. Gautham three for 44) vs Districts-II.

Ramji shines

K. Ramji’s unbeaten 110 set up an 87-run win for Chennai Telephones over Young Stars in a TNCA fourth division ‘C’ zone tie here recently.
