West Godavari in trouble

VIJAYAWADA: Kranthi (four for 25) and Kalyan (four for five) helped Prakasam restrict West Godavari to 52 in the ACA Central Zone under-14 inter-district tournament for Nagalla Lingaiah Memorial Trophy here on Friday. In reply, Prakasam made 199 in 52.1 overs and took a first innings lead of 147 runs. At close of play, West Godavari was in dire straits at 47 for four in 11 overs.

The scores: West Godavari 52 in 28 overs (K. Kalyan four for five) and 47 for four in 11 overs vs. Prakasam 199 in 52.1 overs (K. Akhil Babu 44, V. Gangadhar four for 24, T.D.N. Chaitanya three for 67).
