KSP wins both ties

BANGALORE: Karnataka State Police (KSP) won both its matches in the State ‘A’ division volleyball league championship at Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts here on Friday.

In the men’s match, KSP defeated BEL Sports Club 25-18, 25-16, 25-21 while in the women’s section, KSP beat Mount Carmel College 25-14, 25-9, 25-11.

But the best encounter was the day was between the two Army outfits, MEG and ASC. MEG won the hard fought men’s match which lasted 108 minutes at 35-33, 25-18, 24-26, 22-25, 15-13. Joby and Vasanthan played well for the winner while Sathyarajan and Dinesh put up an impressive display for ASC.
