Rahul, Lia win

Chennai: N. Rahul and Lia Chacko, both from Kochi, won the boys’ and girls’ titles in the under-19 category of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools regional table tennis tournament on Tuesday.

The results: Under-19: boys: N. Rahul (KV PT Kochi) bt G. Prethul (KV Calicut) 10-12, 11-6, 11-5, 18-20, 11-6; girls: Lia Chacko (KV 1 Kochi) bt S. Swathi (KV DGQA) 9-11, 12-10, 12-10, 11-6.

Under-17: boys: Niyas (KV PT Kochi) bt R. Rakesh (KV Aravankadu) 11-8, 6-11, 10-12; girls: T.P. Atulya (KV 2 Calicut) bt Saina Rachiel Zacharia (KV Pattam).

Under-14: boys: Aditya Bagari (KV CLRI) bt A. Adarsh (KV 2 Calicut) 11-7, 11-8, 12-10; girls: Anisha Anand (KV CLRI) bt Gayathri Girish (KV 1 Kochi) 12-10, 11-4, 6-11, 2-11, 11-8.
