‘Media freedom threatened’

New Delhi: Speakers at a seminar here on Saturday agreed that the concentration of capital in the hands of few media barons posed a threat to inclusive economic growth, democracy and pluralistic character of Indian society.

The seminar, during the National Convention of UNI Workers Union on maintaining the autonomy and freedom of the press, noted that media freedom has been threatened by cross-commercialism. PTI
