Ishant cleared for full training and match play

Mumbai: Ishant Sharma should be in action in the 2008-09 Zal Irani Cup opening match between Delhi and Rest of India at Baroda from September 24 to 28.

According to Paul Close, physio at the Bangalore-based National Cricket Academy, the Delhi paceman has recovered fully from a right buttock bruise and has been cleared for full training and to play matches.

On Friday, he bowled trouble-free six overs at the NCA and was immediately cleared for full training and match play. — Special Correspondent
