Two of family killed in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 67-year-old man and his wife were killed and their son, daughter and granddaughter injured when the car in which they were travelling met with an accident at Venpalavattom on Kazhakuttom-Inchivila NH47 bypass around 10.30 a.m. on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Ramachandran and his wife Ambika, 47, residents of ‘Chandralayam’, near BHS, Attingal. The injured are Ranjith, 21, Remya, 27 and her four-year-old daughter Arunima. Ranjith and Remya have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital and Arunima is in SAT Hospital.

The police are yet to trace the vehicle that rammed the Maruti car in which the family was travelling. —Staff Reporter
