NEW DELHI: Three young men have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police in connection with the murder of a truck driver earlier this month. Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap near V.P. Singh Camp on Friday and arrested Krishan, Manoj and Ashok. The three had taken a lift three days earlier in an Inland Container Depot truck carrying imported goods. They allegedly killed the driver, Ash Babulkar, after travelling some distance, and then disposed of the stolen goods with the help of one Taufiq of Uttar Pradesh. Mona of Hapur, an alleged mastermind behind the operation, is absconding. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
