Protesters block traffic

VIZIANAGARAM: People led by CPI (M) divisional secretary Reddy Sankar Rao on Sunday blocked vehicular traffic on the busy RTC Complex Road for over 15 minutes in protest against demolition of huts that they built on the occupied Dekkina Cheruvu land as part of ‘struggle for land’ stir last week. Condemning the indifferent attitude of Revenue officials, Mr. Sankar Rao alleged that they turned a blind eye when the “MLA’s men” occupied Vallabudi Cheruvu and began constructing houses. He threatened to intensify stir if justice was not done.
