Panchayat staffer in ACB net

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday ‘caught’ H. Veerabhadrappa, senior assistant in the office of Adoni divisional panchayat officer, in Kurnool district, when he was accepting Rs.2,000 as bribe from the complainant, R. Francis, for doing official favour. A press release issued by ACB here said Veerabhadrappa had demanded the amount for processing the file for regularisation of suspension period of the complainant. –Special Correspondent
