BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Sunday ruled out increase in milk prices and said the matter was not under Government’s consideration. On the demand by the Karnataka Milk Federation to increase milk prices, the Chief Minister said: “There is no necessity. If the federation is suffering losses, the Government is ready to audit its accounts and then decide on the matter. Losses could also be owing to misappropriation of funds or wasteful expenditure.” © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
