Manmohan greets Zardari

NEW DELHI: “In your new office, you will find a friend in India,” Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said in a message to Asif Ali Zardari on his election as Pakistan President.

Dr. Singh said in the message on Sunday:

“The ushering in of democracy in Pakistan opens new opportunities for the two countries to work together by developing the close and cooperative ties that should be normal between two neighbours.”
