Karachi: Desperate to engage its players in some on-field action, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to organise its National Twenty20 championship from October 4 after most of its efforts to arrange international match for the national team proved futile. South Africa has already turned down PCB’s request for a tri-series and the PCB officials are still waiting for a reply from the Sri Lankan Cricket on a proposed one-day series later this month.
“We will ensure that all the top players make themselves available for the domestic Twenty20 event,” an official said. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
