Aid distributed

PUDUCHERRY: The Lieutenant Governor has granted Rs. 37,000 for the families who were affected by a fire that gutted 37 huts at Vaithikuppam on August 14. According to a release, the money has been sanctioned from the Lt. Governor’s Welfare Fund and Rs. 1,000 each assistance was handed over to the Collector of Puducherry for disbursement to the victims. Sub-Collector (Revenue-North) distributed the aid to each family on Tuesday.
