Junior National athletics at Shimoga

BANGALORE: The junior National athletic championship will be held at Shimoga from November 10 to 15, according to K. Satyanarayana, secretary Karnataka Amateur Athletic Association.

According to the KAAA, 156 events in the age groups of 20, 18, 16 and 14 years will be conducted. Athletes from all over the country will participate.

The Indian probables for the Commonwealth Youth Games would be selected on the basis of the performances in the meet.

Karnataka Masters Athletic Association will conduct the second National Masters marathon championship at Mangalore to mark ‘World Senior Citizens Day’. The event also carries awards.
