Bhullar fires a 63, takes lead

GURGAON: Gaganjeet Bhullar fired his career-best round of nine-under 63 to snatch a one-stroke lead over overnight leader Rahul Ganapathy at the halfway stage of the AIS Open golf tournament at the Golden Greens golf course here on Thursday.

Bhullar shot two eagles and six birdies against a lone bogey for a two-round aggregate of 133. Ganapathy produced a second successive 67 to stay two strokes clear of veteran Feroz Ali Mollah.

The ‘cut’ that came at six-over 150 has left 60 players, including four amateurs, to battle it out on the last two days.
