President’s XI is champion

Bangalore: President’s XI emerged champion in the S.A. Srinivasan Trophy tournament that concluded at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday.

In its last league match that concluded in a draw, Vikas Raj’s 111 (170b, 13x4, 1x6) and Kunal Kapoor’s unbeaten 100 (146b, 10x4) helped President’s XI post 374 for two in reply to Moffusil XI’s 234.

President’s XI topped the league with 13 points and Combined City XI finished runner-up with 12 points.

The scores: Moffusil XI 234 for nine in 90 overs drew with President’s XI 374 for two in 90 overs (Vikas Raj 111, Kunal Kapoor 100 n.o., Ganesh Satish 72 n.o., Mayank Agarwal 71).

Combined City XI 297 in 71.4 overs drew with Bangalore City XI 120 in 59.3 overs (D.V. Anish five for 11) and 181 for three in 41.3 overs (S. Prajwal 95).
