State sub-jr. chess from today

KOCHI: The State sub-junior chess championship for boys and girls begins at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) on Saturday.

The Kerala team for the sub-junior National championship, to be held in Mangalore in November, will be picked from this event.

Cash awards will be given to the top-10 finishers.

Interested players may report at the venue with their age certificates before 10 a.m. on Saturday.
