Kalyan spins SBRR to win

MYSORE: Left-arm spinner S.D. Kalyan’s six for 14 helped SBRR Mahajana FGC register an emphatic eight-wicket win over NIE PU College and enter the quarterfinals of the Mysore University inter-collegiate tournament at the Maharaja’s College grounds here on Friday.

The scores (pre-quarterfinals):

NIE PU College 67 in 26 overs (S.D. Kalyan six for 14) lost to SBRR Mahajana FGC 71 for two in seven overs.

Basudeva Somani FGC 163 in 24 overs (Deepak S. Gowda 64) bt St. Philomena’s PU College 106 in 24.3 overs.

Sree Cauvery Composite PU College 76 in 26.2 overs lost to Maharaja’s College 77 for two in 10.5 overs.
