Kurnool wins

VIJAYAWADA: Kurnool won the Fr. Vincent Ferrer Trophy for ACA south zone u-14 inter-district cricket tournament at Anantapur, according to information received here on Friday. Chittoor finished runner-up. The matches between Kadapa and Kurnool and Chittoor and Nellore ended in draws.

The scores: Kurnool 139 and 153 for six in 47 overs (Siddhartha Reddy 62, Saleem Baig three for 30) drew with Kadapa 279 for eight in 90 overs (B. Vamsi Krishna 113, Siddhartha Reddy four 64).

Chittoor 77 and 132 for nine decl. (Surya 41) drew with Nellore 92 in 45 overs (Kiran Yadav three for 21) and 72 for four in 28 overs.
