Jewellery stolen

Tirupur: Burglars gained entry into the house of Padmanaban (30) here and decamped with 17 sovereigns of jewellery kept inside a cupboard.

The police said the accused entered the house by removing roof tiles when Padmanaban and his wife were away. The police are investigating.
