MSU posts win

Chennai: Madras Sporting Union defeated SCSTEDS 5-4 in penalty kicks after the scores were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time in the CFA inter-academy football tournament, here on Friday.

Sai (MSU) and Sathiyaraj (SCSTEDS) were the scorers. Vinodh, Sai, Sathish and S. Vijay found the mark for MSU in the shoot-out. Sathiyaraj, Ezhil Adinam and Madhan netted for SCSTEDS.

In the semifinals, MSU beat Care–Get Together 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out after a 0-0 deadlock. SCSTEDS defeated Netaji SC 2-0, with Sathiyaraj scoring both the goals.
