‘I improvise with each role’ out of the box

From teaching English to new lessons in villainy, G.S. Hari had a long journey. The reigning actor of Telugu telly who is adept at negative roles and is seen giving uneasy movements to other characters on all the channels is making it effectively to the big screen too these days. Hari who won repute as ‘Kasturi Gowrinath’ with his role in the popular serial ‘Kasturi’ few years back recently won laurels for portrayal of the role of a factionalist in the film ‘Gamyam’. And he is ecstatic over the fact that the film is not only being remade in different languages but also for the Tamil director for the movie asking him to repeat the role there. “It is really a great moment for me,” he says.

A versatile actor hailing from Nellore, Hari is also there on different channels for serials that include some of the popular ones such as ‘Lakshyam’ on ETV, ‘Laya’ on Maa TV and ‘Bommarillu’ on Gemini. “I am cast for ‘Itlu Prematho Amma’, the serial being made by Vijay Krishna for Zee Telugu,” he informs.

Using his well modulated voice to the hilt, Hari had a series of hits on the small screen. Many still recall his acting prowess with roles of a Home Minister in ‘Chakravakam’ and that of a faction leader in ‘Manoharam’. After shifting to television a decade back, he began his tryst with the idiot box with Yandamuri Veerendranath’s ‘Tulasi Dalam’ in the role of a lawyer.
