Coimbatore: Host PSG College of Technology, for the third successive year, clinched the ball badminton title for women in the Anna University Zone-7 inter-collegiate tournaments at the PSG Tech grounds recently. The host thrashed Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College 29-9, 29-2 for the title. Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (Sathyamangalam) defeated Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology for the third place. CIT prevailsCoimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), riding Guruprasad (30 points) and Ganesh Ram’s (14) brilliance, stunned defending champion PSG Tech 62-47 for the basketball title. In the semifinals, CIT notched up a thrilling 46-44 win over Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, while PSG outplayed Kongu Engineering College (Perundurai) 42-13.
