Kishore shines

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ch. Sneha Kishore picked up five wickets with his left-arm spin and helped President’s XI gain first-innings lead over Secretary’s XI and claim the G.S.N. Raju Trophy in the ACA under-16 selection match at Vizianagaram on Monday.

South Zone was decalared the winner of the inter-zone tournament held earlier, on better run-rate. Both teams had six points.

The scores: President’s XI 158 and 42 for three drew with ACA Secretary’s XI 118 in 78 overs (K. Krishna Babu 30, Ch. Sneha Kishore five for 26).

Big win for Vizag

Left-arm medium pacer A. Mohim Khan claimed six wickets and Ricky Bhui completed a century as Visakhapatnam scored an innings and 168-run win over Vizianagaram in the ACA North Zone under-14 inter-district tournament at Kakinada on Monday.

The scores: Vizianagaram 50 and 104 in 64.5 overs (B. Sridhar 35, A. Mohim Khan six for 27) lost to Visakhapatnam 322 for six decl. in 71.1 overs (Ricky Bhui 108, Vamsidhar Reddy 104, Sai Dinesh 43, J. Sarath Krishna 26).

East Godavari 177 and 86 for seven decl. in 39 overs (A. Prasanth four for 10) drew with Srikakulam 111 in 61.2 overs (P. Dinesh 35, V. Rambabu six for 19, M. Raviteja three for 30) and 66 for one in 25 overs (P. Dinesh 52 n.o.).
