Two held, service revolver seized

KHAMMAM: The town police arrested two persons, Paravatha Ramadandu alias Ramu alias Raju and Dundigala Anjaiah in the local bus station complex and recovered a .38 service revolver of American make, according to Superintendent of Police Mahesh M. Bhagwat on Tuesday.

He told media persons that Ramadandu, a resident of Balapet in Khammam division, developed contacts with naxalites and had for some time been assisting them. He allegedly procured the imported weapon through contacts in Nalgonda. He had allegedly planned for extorting money by teaming up with Dundigal Anjaiah of Vutlapalli village in Nalgonda.
