Shop worker murdered

HYDERABAD: Prakash, 28, a cloth shop worker, was allegedly murdered by one Sudhakar at Bondalagadda in Kamatipura on Wednesday.

Prakash was caretaker of a house with eight portions at Bondalgadda belonging to his friend Kamal Kishore, who lives in the USA.

Few days ago, the accused Sudhakar from Nandimusalaiguda approached Prakash seeking a portion on rent.

“Sudhakar bore a grudge against the caretaker as he had stated that all the portions were rented out and even picked up a quarrel,” the police said.

Sudhakar came to the house in Bondalgadda when Prakash was sitting in a room and allegedly slit his throat, the police said. A hunt is on for Sudhakar.

Housewife robbed

An electrician allegedly took away gold jewellery weighing 120 grams from a housewife, Annapurna, at knifepoint while she was alone in the house during daytime on Wednesday at Bhavani colony in Rajendranagar. The woman identified him as Sharieff, who earlier worked as an electrician in their house.
