500 grams gold, cash burgled

HYDERABAD: Thieves took away gold ornaments weighing 500 grams and Rs. 30,000 after breaking into a house at Tejaswini Colony in Rajendranagar during daytime on Wednesday.

The house owner Mahankali Subrahmanya Prasad, a chartered accountant, went out along with his daughter, Anusha, around 11.30 a.m.

On return after an hour, Ms. Anusha found lock of the main door broken.

The offenders broke the almirah lock as well and stole the jewellery and cash, she told the police.
