Kochi: A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Thursday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to produce before it on September 23 all records relating to the investigation in the SNC Lavalin case. The Bench of Chief Justice H.L. Dattu and Justice A.K. Basheer gave the directive when a petition filed by the CBI seeking an extension by six months the time granted by the court for completing the investigation came up for hearing. In an affidavit filed before the High Court, the CBI said the investigation was being conducted in all earnestness. The case related to allegations of irregularities in the award of contract for renovation and modernisation of the Pallivasal, Sengulam and Panniyar hydroelectric projects in Idukki to the Canada-based SNC Lavalin. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
