Two-day camp for issuance of birth certificates on Sept. 19

SALEM: The two-day special camp for the issuance of birth/death certificates will begin on September 19 at Salem main office. The camp would be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. People can submit applications seeking birth/death certificates at the camp. Certificates would be issued to the applicants on the same day.

The civic body had organised this special camp following representations from the public. It would involve over 20 officials for the conduct of the camp, a release said.

People should bring the proof of residence and family card with them to apply. Those who had obtained a birth certificate without mentioning the name of the child, should bring in the photocopy of the same.

Those who have already applied for birth/death certificates should bring in the photocopy of the application.
