Iskandar to meet Ritwik

Mumbai: Top seed Mohd. Azlan Iskandar of Malaysia and second seed Ritwik Bhattacharya will vie for the men’s title in the 33rd Bombay Gymkhana-HSBC Maharashtra State Open squash championship.

Ritwik beat Vikas Jangra 11-7, 11-3, 11-2 while Iskandar trounced fellow Malaysian Mohd. Asyraf Azan 11-7, 11-2, 11-6 in the semifinals here on Thursday.

In the women’s semifinal, top seed Joshna Chinappa defeated Surabhi Mishra 11-5, 11-3, 11-9.

Joshna will play the winner of the second semifinal between Dipika Pallikal and Mandy Kennedy. — Special Correspondent
